About the laboratory
Since 1989 Medical Laboratory Fryda has provided services in laboratory analysis of patient medical specimens and microbiology. Our clients are not only individual patients but also hospitals, outpatient clinics, private doctor offices, and private laboratories. Since the beginning our brand values are reliability of laboratory results and customer-focused service. Our scope of practice is broadened every year to suit the varying needs of our clients. At present we supply services to over 400 medical care providers. Since the year 2000 we also offer expert outsourcing services resulting in reorganization of hospital laboratories in Poland.
Quality
Our constant efforts to ensure the best and most efficient services as well as high reliability of results allowed the implementation of the quality system concordant with the directives of the Ministry of Health and the PN EN ISO 15189 standard. The crowning achievement of all our labours was the obtainment of ISO 9001:2000 certificate from the renowned German Association for Technical Inspection (TUV). High quality of our services is guaranteed by the Quality Manager , who supervises all processes in the laboratory. The quality system comprises qualified personnel as well as procedures and guidelines characterizing the diagnostic process, which includes customer service, biological material analysis, results validation or admitting complaints. Complaint analysis and consideration receive support from the practice of storing biological material for one week of collection. Thus, results can be verified when questioned. We also participate in Polish and international programmes of medical laboratory monitoring such as, for example, Labquality, RIQAS, QCS, Kontrola Łódzka or POLMICRO.
Equipment update
As a Medical Laboratory of the XXIst century, we constantly update our equipment using the offers of the best manufacturers of diagnostic apparatuses and reagents. Among our suppliers are Roche, Bayer and Abbott. The Laboratory is equipped with modern laboratory management computer system connecting all work stations with analytical equipment and central printers. It is a barcoding software system allowing efficient patient and material identification. The system also ensures data protection and long-term storage of all results for future use if necessary. As a convenience to our clients, patients’ results are available on a coded website. Delta-check system can be used to access previous laboratory results of a given individual. Thus, all authorized doctors have access to their patients’ results from all computers connected to Internet without the need for special software installation.
Laboratory tests
Our offer comprises 400 tests including basic investigations such as blood morphology or erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and highly specialised services, eg., genetic testing. A wide range of microbiological assays can be performed by specialized staff. We employ a 2nd degree specialist in laboratory medicine, three PhDs holding specializations in laboratory medicine and microbiology, MSc graduates of Laboratory Analysis and Biology Departments with 1st and 2nd degree specializations, and medical laboratory technicians. We are willing to accept proposals that would further extend the range of our services.
